The City of Sutter Creek recently secured control over the Knight Foundry, the last water powered foundry to still exist in the United States. The goal is to get the Knight Foundry running again, which it hasn't done since 1992.

To accomplish such a task, you can imagine how much funding it requires. Then a wonderful idea came into play. Host a farm to fork dinner at the historic site. Keep the theme to Gold Rush and let people see for themselves how remarkable this rare piece of history is.

Welcome to Feast at the Foundry. A fundraiser that happened on September 23, 2017. A row of locally handcrafted farm tables filled the street decorated with mason jars and wildflowers. Guests "feasted" on Gold Rush cuisines while listening to Americana band, Pine Street Ramblers.

The event sold out and raised more than a thousand dollars for restoration efforts.
