"Palet" is an art gallery and shop that was set to launch in Amador City (It's been put on hold for now. Darn it). The owners requested a modern logo with a hint of funk - something that would represent the historic rural town, yet still encompass an upscale feel.
After the first round of concepts, they finally decided the logo should include an artist palette with text overlay.
Playing off the artistic appeal, I illustrated a messy sketch of a palette and paired it with rustic hand drawn fonts.
I love the sketches they gave me as inspiration for designing their logo.
